Pate - Vinnie's spiritual offspring - has found a home at jurneez End, a shelter dog that is worth every hair I vac up. He's a protector! And now another rescue, Mya. Little but mighty. My gardens just love them.

Spring?

Well, I know I said in my last post "Bring it on" meaning winter - I was ready, but ya know what? I've had enough. Isn't that just like human nature. But it seems mother nature has dropped us directly from winter to almost summer with no spring once again.
I really don't mind the spring chores but let's at least have spring temps. Nights still at 25 degrees is a bit chilly for the middle of April.

Journey's End is now 27 years old and under construction again. A new front covered porch with easy to care for everything. I shall enjoy it this summer as I sit and relax, thinking about the next blog statements to be made.

I turned in my jeep plates today, how sad, it was in good service for so long. I drove it 17 years, top on, top off, on roads, on mountain tops, on river beds. But eventually it had to go.
Vinnie and I are now trundeling along in a Honda Element. Square, but very comfy.

This month I really don't have much to say. In the hopes you all had a great winter and refreshing spring I bid you goodbye. I'll step back in soon. And by the way Maggie the woodstove, my 100 plus year old wood gas combination stove did fine once again this winter.

In a month or two! Peace and please be well read.
